Harvesting of Walnuts continues in the California Central Valley. I was out in the field this week observing sweeping, collection, and transport to processing operations. The process is quite similar to almond harvesting. Expectations are for a much higher quality walnut crop than last year. Yields are strong, and pests were not a big issue in the regions I visited. Harvest will continue into November.
