How we work with suppliers

Hoover Ingredients brings decades of "boots on the ground" experience working to deliver ingredients to organic and natural food brands. Jim Hoover has visited the places where he sources ingredients. He knows the people behind the ingredients and how to work with them. He has developed a high-level of trust with these providers. We understand how to source ingredients our clients are looking for. 

We take food safety, transparency and traceability seriously. We understand the finer points of ensuring the ingredients we source are of the highest quality and meet rigorous standards. We expect our suppliers to be following industry regulations and standards including the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), which helps ensure food facilities are processing safe food for consumers under strict guidelines. 

As part of our rigorous process of working with ingredient suppliers, we go through a step-by-step review that ensures the most important protocols are being followed and all current documentation — organic, kosher and social responsibility certifications, third-part food safety audits, and food safety certifications, etc. — is supplied.
